Sky Harbour floating on good form

Room Thirteen received its first taste of Sky Harbour when we heard the bands debut EP 'Words Best Left Unsaid' when it was released last summer. One year later and the band remain on top form and back with another release titled 'Togetheralone'.

Having spent the last year headlining gigs around the UK, it is surprising where the lads got time to create such a success. The release opens with 'Make Like Ghosts' and is followed by similar sounding tunes, upbeat, sizzling with powerpop/alternative rock melodies, thumping guitar riffs and an energetic voice. There is the present of some tougher elements, such as the screeching of passion on 'Days of Disenchantment', which makes this song even more desirable. 'Transparent' is the slower contribution, the one that takes the tone of things down a notch but the emotion, sentiment and inner passion up by a degree.

We were left with disappointment at only four tracks on the bands previous EP but remain content by the incredible six tracks on this release. These types of songs - upbeat, catchy, sing-a-long friendly, addictive and memorable - are the sort you deeply desire an album's worth of and hopefully we will not have to wait to long. I once stated, "With tracks such as these, there is no doubt they (Sky Harbour) have a bright future ahead, a definite big band in the making!" I stand by this comment. Alternative rock has found a remarkable new outlet and it comes in the form of Brighton based quartet, Sky Harbour.
