Finger Lickin'

Not surprisingly there is a packed out tent for the set of Juliette and The Licks, the only question is whether it's down to the lure of Hollywood or a decent band?

With her long tresses died blonde Lewis puts on a good show, she has a good voice and is a compelling front woman. Cavorting and prancing around the stage she has surely by now dispelled any fears that she is merely playing another part. Lewis is in a no win situation on that front really, all she can do is let the music speak for itself

The band are solid and they get plenty of crowd participation throughout their set, going down extremely well. The music is a definitely in the rock camp but with a hint of punk attitude. The songs aren't bad at all but then they're not going to change your life either. It's unfortunate that the design of the tents makes it hard to watch the band if you're not lucky enough to be in the middle, close proximity to other stages ruins the sound outside the tent and ridiculously placed pillars ruin the view inside! With this in mind it would be perhaps unfair to judge Juliette and the Licks on this performance alone, a more intimate setting with a proper view may offer a completely different experience.
