| Bio | A born and bred Mancunian, Mel studied film and media history at Manchester Met and now works as a sub-editor for a little craft magazine publisher near Macclesfield. The job got her into scrapbooking, and in between cutting and pasting she enjoys amateur photography, painting, writing, reading, attending gigs and festivals, and harbouring ambitions to one-day edit an established lifestyle magazine and/or work in book publishing.
Mel has a very varied taste in music, but her first love lies in rock, metal and grunge. She loves everything from classics like Jeff Buckley, Tori Amos, The Pixies, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Weezer and The Lemonheads to newer bands like A Perfect Circle, Biffy Clyro, Kings of Leon, Muse, Soulwax, Incubus, Queens of the Stoneage and The White Stripes. She's also currently enjoying listening to some techno at the moment, including Zero 7, Morcheeba, Massive Attack, Portishead and Lamb. |
