Bio | Christine's musical roots began with traditional British and Irish folk music; playing banjo and mandolin in various Irish bands around her hometown of Bedford and a love for American folk stylings of Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and Neil Young. However, falling in love with a picture of Marc Bolan and coming across a copy of Alice Cooper's 'Love It To Death' soon sparked a love affair with the glitz and glamour of the Glam Rock Seventies.
But it was stumbling across The Quireboys in a small pub in Bedford as they warmed up for 2002's 'Monsters of Rock' tour that really opened Christine's eyes to the world of sleazy rock'n'roll that was to become her home, introducing her to bands such as The Dog's D'amour, Faces, The Rolling Stones, Diamond Dogs and The Crybabys. In turn, this soon broadened into a passion for all things rock and metal, from Aerosmith and Guns n' Roses to Slipknot and Cradle of Filth. Christine has just finished her third year studying English Literature at the University of Durham, and is anxiously awaiting her results. |
