Biography

The Oakland, California four-piece Pitch Black burst onto the San Francisco Bay Area music scene in late 1999. Pitch Black’s lineup, Martin Munroe (bass/vocals), Kevin Cross (guitar/vocals), Jamie Morrison (drums) and Jeremy Goody (keyboards), are no strangers to punk rock, comprised of ex-members of Screw 32, the Nerve Agents, Big Rig and Cat 5. Their debut split CD with the Enemies (Lookout! Records, 2000) grabbed the attention of not only Cheetahs Records
(3 song EP in 2001), but landed Pitch Black a spot on, legendary hardcore label, Revelation Records’ roster. Their self-titled debut album for Revelation garnered the band critical acclaim throughout North American and Europe, setting the stage for a sold-out tour of the U.S. and Canada with Alkaline Trio and Pretty Girls Make Graves. Pitch Black’s music and explosive live show have amassed a militant following for the band. In the early days, Pitch Black was know for their intense sound, reminiscent of punk rock titans like Drunk Injuns, TSOL and Los Olvidados. But the past is yesterday’s newspaper. Brown Shoes don’t make it.
