Biography

James Mercer - guitar and songwriter
Jesse Sandoval - drums
Marty Crandall - bass
Dave Hernandez - guitar

Formed in 1997 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and play a style of indie-rock. Dave left after a year and was replaced by Neal Langford. The group then toured with Modest Mouse and signed to Sub-Pop releasing their debut single and album. The band the relocated to Portland Oregon in 2003, Langford left to pursue his professional hot-air ballooning career and Dave re-joined. They have now released their second album 'Chutes Too Narrow' produced by Phil Ek (Modest Mouse) and plan to tour for most of 2005. read less
