Biography

This is the sound of Radar, a gang not affected by trend or by scene, by
tribe or by cut. Tripped out beats, building baselines and crashing pop
melodies both bold and hypnotic in their clutch. Radar has created a
sound that is referential without ever being derivative. Instead they
have absorbed, contextualized and reinvented for 2007.

Radar's music is thick with the menace and excitement of pop's first
city, a perfect distillation of West End gloss and East End grit, with
echoes of the dub reggae Soundsystem's of Brixton and Notting Hill, the
barbed wire guitars of Whitechapel's Rhythm Factory and the heartache
and angst that makes its home everywhere and nowhere. Their sound not
defined by their London base, Radar have set about soundtracking Great
British life for the here and now; from the club to the council estate. read less
