Biography

Kill Casino are one lady and two gentlemen of the rock persuasion. All three aliens to the city, they set out to puncture the underbelly of the London live music scene, kicking up a fuss in some of the most infamous venues in the capital.

Shunning haircut vogues and mass marketed 'brand bands,' it wasn't long before press was championing the return of a front woman with credibility and charisma as an antidote to the stage-school rock dollies who had for too long exploited novelty over substance. By Autumn 2006, Kerrang!, had Karen labelled as 'a star in the making,' and the band were gaining airplay on Kerrang! Radio, Radio One and underground networks worldwide. The summer was rounded off with a triumphant performance at Truck festival where the band battled on as the ground turned to quagmire and the stage was shaken to its core by an electric storm of biblical proportions.

Comparisons to The Distillers, and QOTSA further excited interest in the band and in April 2007, they released their first single, 'Stolen Eyes'. When the accompanying video debuted online in the ethereal heights of Youtube's top 100 most viewed videos, it became obvious that Kill Casino were no ordinary up-and coming band. By now the band were sharing stages with the likes of the Zico Chain, Sikth and The Mirimar Disaster, headlining the legendary 'Subverse' Club at the Underworld, entertaining revellers at London's 'Rock' Club at the Mean Fiddler and building a growing army of devotees in the process.

In June 2006, Kill Casino went into the studio to begin recording their debut album, working alongside producer Rob Haggett (credits include Linkin Park, Gwen Stefani, Marilyn Manson). Eight months, three different studios and a sizeable amount of hair torn out at the root and 'I've been to London to see the Queen' is finally here!
