Biography

Irish born Ciaran McFeely before being known as Simple Kid was in a little well known boy band. While touring in America with this band he set up home with his then girlfriend. Things didn't go well and he left her with no money and no place to go. At 17 he was homeless and hitching his way around America, that gave him many life experiences to write from. On returning to the UK he began his persona as Simple Kid with an eclectic mix of music styles. His method of recording starts as he records straight onto an 8-track then feeds the song into the computer then chops it up, sampling these in the final songs he creates.
He 'tells stories of mascara-coated, tiger-eyed tramps, on the edge office workers who dream of drug filled weekends'.
Simple Kid also goes under different personas while he's on tour depending on what sort of show he's putting on:
Club Kid
Sample Kid - remixing his own material
Skiffle Kid - country alter-ego
Simple Kid Brother - his brother joins him on stage
