Biography
Hailing from a little long lost town in Germany called’ Eislingen’, school mates Sibbi (Vocals/Guitar), Panzer (Vocals, Bass) and Saikov (Drums) formed Itchy Poopzkid 8 years ago when they realised that music could be their ticket out of dodge. With affection for all areas of punk rock, the band began to exercise their itchy feet in 2002 by playing small shows throughout Germany. The dedicated combo has now played over 550 shows, several festivals, and has toured throughout not only Germany, but Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Slovenia and Czech Republic. Along the way, they’ve opened for the likes of ‘Yellowcard’, ‘Mad Caddies’, ‘Zebrahead’, ‘BoySetsFire’, ‘The Bouncing Souls’ and ‘Samiam’. With their honest passion and endless energy, the band is quickly finding fans wherever they go.The young punk rockers have three records now under their belt; their 2007 release ‘Time to Ignite’ racked up critical acclaim throughout mainland Europe. The band gained instant recognition in Germany when it won the six-piece TV show "MTV Band Trip â€" Madsen v Itchy Poopzkid." The show was a success for Itchy Poopzkid, as the band managed to knock out their established band competitors, making crowds go wild all over Europe. The band was subsequently nominated for the MTV European Music Awards. They also received Power-Play-Rotation for three of their videos on MTV Europe and numerous other TV stations.
