Biography

The band’s second album (Pagan) marks an important step for CRUACHAN. After releasing “Folk-Lore” the band became established and one always needs to wait if a band can live up to their own standards. “Pagan” is just the album that will make any CRUACHAN-fan very happy, it possesses all the trademarks; heavy guitars, folk arrangements, female vocals, the odd Black Metal touch and various traditional Irish instruments. It is graced by a cover artwork created by John Howe (official illustrator for “Lord of the Rings”) that gives this album its finishing touch. After coming on their first trips to Europe (a co-headliner mini-tour with Swedish labelmates Thyrfing in the Benelux and St. Patrick’s Day-festival in Sint Petersburg, Russia) CRUACHAN will do more active performances with this album.
