Biography

Regrouping in early 2002, and casting their eyes far beyond the boundaries of the UK metal scene - Aconite Thrill set themselves a monumental task. To accelerate their individual creative abilities and bring thought provoking, intelligent rock music to the masses.

The band hail from the depths of South Herts, having emerged from a prodigious local metal-hardcore scene that has spawned other high profile material such as Sikth, Cry For Silence, Eden Maine and Incoherence.

Travelling the country to manifest their eclectic wares, Aconite Thrill have been fortunate enough to share a stage with a whole host of exciting UK bands - such as Jor, Miocene, Mahumodo and Sikth. Receiving ever escalating praise for their energetic live performances, and achieving the prestigious title of cover stars of Organ magazine, Aconite Thrill have already made a name for themselves in the underground, and look set to break the mainstream media in 2004.

With a distaste for pigeonholing, Aconite Thrill are successfully playful with a number of sounds and styles. Comparisons have been erratic and likenesses poles apart, with almost every division of alternative music being thrown in for good measure. The music is definitely hard-edged, but refrains from alienating it's audience in a 'tough-guy' stand off. It certifies the emotions, but travels further than 'emo' - creating a taste for diversity that grows significantly stronger than the concepts of 'cross-over-metal'!

Like the name itself - Aconite Thrill are a puzzle to be unwrapped.
