Biography
In today's current music scene where everything seems to follow trends and fads, Loganstone represents the rare emergence of something that is truly original. Drawing from diverse influences from across the decades such as The Happy Mondays, Air, David Bowie, Elliot Smith, The Pixies and Talking Heads, Loganstone is a reaction to everything that is mundane and conservative. Loganstone doesn't follow the traditional values of a band. Instead, they represent a changing collective of musicians and influences weaved together by one man, his guitar, and humble studio set up – this man is south London based, Adam Alexandroni.Loganstone’s music, embracing hypnotic melodies and powerful hooks, is about creating something beautiful, and saying something from the heart. "…A good song should be a blank canvas that you can hang your own experiences and interpretations on. With my lyrics I try to create atmospheres as opposed to telling specific stories - being 'understood' as a songwriter doesn't interest me - I prefer to create an emotion or imagery and let people make their own connections…at the end of the day it’s just about writing a tune that you believe in and letting everyone else make what they will of it."
Recently signed to Manchester based label, ‘Too Nice Recordings’, Loganstone is about to make good the fruits of the last two years work with the release of the startlingly accomplished debut EP ‘Sooner Not Later’. With several live shows planned and various UK Tour supports in the pipeline, Loganstone are primed to take their music out of the depths of south London to the rest of the UK, and beyond. read less
