R13 Hi Chris, thanks for talking to Room 13. How has the tour gone so far?
CBIt's all been good so far. We've had the acoustic show in Southampton, Norwich so this is number three.

R13 So, we're led to believe you've announced that this is your final UK tour. How's that gone down?
CBIt's depressing, but it's one of those things we've gotta do. We don't wanna keep coming over here and just going down in venues and goin' like this (points to the floor). It's just time to stop touring over here. It doesn't mean we're gonna stop coming over here altogether. We're gonna try to do festivals and maybe tours with other bands and stuff but as far as us headlining, we're good.

R13 Obviously you guys have matured like the rest of us, do you feel that your music has, are you still as crazy now as you were in the start?
CBPretty much yeah! There's a little more napping involved but we're still staying out 'till 9, 10 in the morning (laughs)

R13 Nice! What's been you're favourite tour moment and why?
CBOf any tour? Man, just being out on stage with your buddies, getting hammered and being a dumbass after the shows.

R13 What are you going to miss most about the UK?
CB The fans! The shows! Everything man.

R13 How are you going to keep in touch with your UK fans after this tour?
CBWe're gonna keep putting out music. Hopefully keep in touch that way and we're talking about doin' one off shows in London so we'll still be here. We're not unplugging the whole thing altogether. The next couple of years we're gonna play to some markets we haven't played in a while like Australia and some Military shows so we're still travelling overseas.

R13 You've been coming here for about 15 years, do you feel you have the same fans or are you pulling in the younger crowds still?
CBIt's weird, we still get young fans but our shows are a lot of parents bringing their kids but we get everyone. It's pretty diverse.

R13 What made you decide to do this album on Pledge?
CBWe lost Jive Records a couple of years ago and there really aren't any record labels out there that aren't looking to just make money out of you so the band decided to take control and make the money ourselves. That's what Pledge does. You get to make your own album and you get to sell it cutting out the middle man.

R13 Have you decided on what covers you're going to record for the next album?
CBWe've got maybe three or four but we have a list in our heads of songs we wanna Bowling for Soup up!

R13 Have you got a personal favourite you'd like to cover?
CBOooh I really wanna do a Tom Petty song. There are three or four I wanna rock up

R13 Would you guys ever consider putting on a Bowling for Soup Festival?
CBIt's always a possibility, but I don't really know if we could swing it. I'm not sure about how good a festival we could put on, but it's a good idea. I mean we used to do the Get Happy tour for a while and that was really cool. We'd have like five bands on and it was a good show, but it was pretty tough to keep it going.

R13 So on to some random stuff. Tell us a secret about yourself that no one knows.
CBI've always been the bands seamstress. This isn't a good example (points to his ripped up shorts) I did that about 6 months ago, but my job is to basically sew everybody else's stuff back together. My grandma taught me a long time ago.

R13 How many times a day do you reckon you pull out a wedgie?
CBAh man, as you get older you kind of learn how to just wiggle and get it back out. You just sort of point your leg that way and lean the other and it comes out your butt crack.

R13 Name something you do alone that you wouldn't do in front of anyone else.
CBOoooh I should probably say masturbate but I'm not shy about a lot of things! I'm gonna stick with masturbate, although sometimes its fun to have other people involved.

R13 Thanks Chris, I think that pretty much covers everything! Thanks for talking to us and have a great show!
CBThanks man, have a good one!

Bowling For Soups Farewell tour finishes on 23rd October and is the last headline tour for the band.
