After an amazing performance at Download 2005, Three Children of Fortune take time out to have a brief chat with Room Thirteen.

Three Children of Fortune are:
Tommy - Vocals/guitar
Steve - Bass
Alex - Drums

Room Thirteen: What three words best describe your music?
Tommy: Not very good!
R13: Oh come on sell yourself to me!
Steve: Very good?
Alex: I'd say different!
Steve: What you want three in a row? Very fucking cool!
Tommy: That’s a really tough question but I suppose the serious answer is guitar based drums.

R13: Most bizarre place you have ever had sex at a festival?
Tommy: I've never had sex at a festival before
R13: Most bizarre place you've ever had sex?
Tommy: In church car park!
Steve: In the rectum?
Alex: In a crack alley, that was kind of weird!

R13: Being a performer I presume there are many nervous wracking moments on stage but what would be your most embarrassing?
Tommy: About a month a go we did a show at the Metro and I had an extremely runny nose right in the middle of the show.
Alex: We were on tour with Million Dead and on the last show they decided to attack us on stage with gaffa tape so we were like mummies and could hardly move! Don’t worry we got them back!

R13: What makes your show so special that festival goers should be sorry they missed it?
Tommy: We're wicked live and have got loads of energy.
Alex: We can go on stage at 11am and tear around like it’s the last show of our lives.
Steve: Good songs and lots of conviction I think!
R13: Do you think you had a good reaction considering the time you went on and the stage you were on?
Tommy: Considering we were on a metal day and we're not really a metal band we did really well.
R13: Were you happy with your performance?
Tommy: Not really no… we're perfectionists really but the mistakes we make are fundamental ones!

R13: If you had a pet badger, what would you call it?
Tommy: Malcolm!
Steve: Sebastian!
Alex: Gerald!

R13: What three things have you brought to Download, that you could not live without?
Tommy: Weed, Girlfriend and a tent!

R13: What's the best part of you body to photograph?
Steve: Penis!

R13: Who's the smelliest band member?
Tommy: Alex!
Alex: Well yeah, I'm the drummer and I sweat a lot!
Tommy: No I was thinking of the flatulence! He does manager to let rip a few times on tour.
R13: So you have managed to shower and wash?
Alex: Nah we haven’t had showers!

R13: Which bands are you most looking forward to seeing play?
Alex: We're not stopping, but if we pretend that we were…
Tommy: Sabbath!
Steve: Helmet, maybe a bit of Velvet Revolver for Slash.

R13: If people want to catch you after Download when's you next gig?
Tommy: We are on a break at the moment writing but are due to start touring with a big band who you may of heard of!
R13: Who's that then?
Tommy: We can't tell you… because we don’t know!
R13: So if you're writing does that mean you have an album coming out?
Tommy: Well we are working towards one yes and looking towards a release at the end of the year.
