Every year T Break has been searching for the best unsigned bands in Scotland, as well as potential music journalists.
For the psat 8 years T Break has worked with new artists to try and get them established and is also involved with the T In The Park festival.
Any band that is current unsigned and based in Scotland may enter - no specific genres are required. Entry details can be found on the website at http://redt.co.uk/tbreak. You can also enter as a journalist or photographer from this site.
Journalists/photographers that enter will be picked by the Sunday Herald and invited backstage at T in the Park to review the T Break Stage - the work will then appear in a Sunday Herald pull out.
Musicians that apply will then be involved in a showcase based at King Tut's (10/05/04-13/04/05) and the Liquid Room (06/05/04-09/05/04). A CD sampler is also due for release through FOPP music stores from 12th July.
T in the Park and T Break work together - meaning that 12 bands have the chance to perform at the festival which, since 1999, has been known as the T Break Stage. In the past bands like Biffy Clyro have been discovered and have gone on to play the likes of the main stage of 2003's Carling Weekend.
