Official 1 Records have secured the services of the Evanescence guitarist John LeCompt and Phil Tayler, frontman for the alternative rockers Future Leaders
of the World, to remix a track inspired by Arkansas' world champion boxer Jermain Taylor as he prepares to defend his belt against former champion Bernard Hopkins.
LeContt said in a press statement:
"I hadn't worked on a hip-hop project before. When Minthone Washington of Official 1 Records contacted me, I admit I was a bit apprehensive. After hearing the original track, I said 'Yeah, I can do this. It was really good."
The track, which has the really creative boxing name of 'Knock 'em Out!' is the fourth single released by Official on behalf of Jermain Taylor.
