One of Sweden's best bands will return in 2006 with a brand new album.

The Knife, aka Swedish siblings Olof and Karin Dreijer made quite an impact this year when their Grammy award winning album 'Deep Cuts' was released in the UK to widespread acclaim, with comparisons being made to Bjork and Sigur Ros.

On top of the rave reviews the albums received, the lead single from 'Deep Cuts' 'Heartbeats' has entered the nation's conscience after being covered by fellow Swede Jose Gonzalez and used as the soundtrack for the new Sony Bravia 'bouncing balls' TV advert.

In addition to this, you've probably heard Karin's unique vocals on the new Röyksopp single 'What Else Is There'.

Not hanging about though, The Knife will return on a new label with a new album 'Silent Shout' in March 2006.
