Gnarls Barkley cannot be shifted as the UK's number one single, as it made it to eight weeks at the top of the chart yesterday (21st).
The track, by duo Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse, is now the most successful single released in Britain in over a decade, beating Tony Christie's '(Is This The Way To) Amarillo' which stayed at the top for seven weeks last year.
They've joined a select and elite group of acts who've also made it for eight weeks, including Shakespeare's Sister in 1992 and the Shadows (ask your parents) in 1968.
Gnarls Barkley made chart history recently (well eight weeks ago actually) when they became the first UK number one from download sales alone.
