Bristol born quartet New Rhodes are set to release new single 'The History of Britain' on October 16th and their debut album 'Songs From the Lodge' on October 30th through Salty Cat Records.

These new releases follow on from the success of the band's singles 'You've Given Me Something That I Can't Give Back' and 'I Wish I Was You' which received support from the likes of MTV2, The Amp, XFM, Radio 1, Radio 2 and Virgin.

New Rhodes (now based in Hackney) quickly gained a reputation on the live circuit and their blistering performances have allowed them to grace stages with the likes of Razorlight, Hope of the States, Bloc Party, The Killers and Morning Runner.

The band's new album was produced by Ian Grimble (British Sea Power, Manic Street Preachers).

In other news, original drummer Stephen Bishop has decided to leave the band to continue his studies at the Royal College of Art. He is to be replaced by Tim Desmond.
