The second John Peel day has been announced by Radio 1.
As in 2005, people are encouraged to put on gigs of any size to mark the contribution to music made by the former Radio 1 DJ.
From the station's website:
"It all happens on 12th October 2006, the anniversary of John Peel's last live broadcast, and we'd love to know about the gigs and events you are organizing."
