The original line-up of Dinosaur Jr. are set to release their first new material since 1989.
The Recording sessions took place at guitarist J Mascis' home studio in Amherst, Massachusetts. The album, currently without a name, is due for a spring 2007 release.
In May 07, the band will also release a live DVD, containing footage from the reunion shows.
However bassist Lou Barlow, formerly of Sebadoh and The Folk Implosion, has hinted that their new album could be a one off.
He told Billboard: "We spent the better part of two years touring together, so we might as well make a record together. We probably won't do anything else, but then again, we'll see."
