Is this the end of the road for Audioslave?
As the rest of the band prepare to play a reunion show as Rage Against the Machine, singer Chris Cornell has announced that he has quit.
The reason has been given as "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences".
Cornell plans to concentrate on solo material.
Audioslave formed in 2001 and released three albums. They were set to play last year's Carling Weekend but pulled out to prepare for the release of their third LP.
