Those hoping for something from System of a Down in the foreseeable future are likely to be disappointed.
The band's singer Serj Tankian plans to release his first solo album this autumn, while the rest of SOAD are also working on individual projects.
He told Billboard, "when we're all ready to come back and take time from our own things and do something together we will, if and when we want to. And it's been left at that."
The vocalist played most of the instruments on 'Elect The Dead' himself, but had help from SOAD drummer John Dolmayan, as well as former Guns N' Roses drummer Brian "Brain" Mantia.
