Yet another music festival is experiencing tickets going on Ebay for vastly inflated prices.

Free tickets for the Radio 1 Big Weekend in Preston have been handed out to lucky listeners who registered via the station's website.

However, as you might imagine, some passes are available online for up to £400 a pair, with some listings detailing how to evade ID checks.

Now the government have waded in, with Creative Industries Minister Shaun Woodward saying that profiting from the event was unacceptable.

EBay has said it is investigating the issue.

The issue of online touting has seen Government think tanks to find ways to prevent the problem, however up to now they've stopped short of making it illegal.

Radio 1's Big Weekend takes place in Preston between May 19-20. Those without a ticket who are wishing to go have the chance of winning passes on the station over the next few days.
