This weekend's Global Gathering is set to go ahead, despite of the severe weather that has hit Central England.

The dance festival will take place at an airfield in Stratford, and it's down to the site's good drainage system that the event hasn't been pulled.

A statement confirming the go-ahead says:

"Long Marston Airfield is on flat ground and not too susceptible to flooding. The campsite also has good drainage and is equipped with hot showers and full amenities such as provision shops and bars. Therefore organisers are confident of being able to host a safe, well-managed event."

Basement Jaxx and Faithless are among those set to play the festival.
