Bruce Springsteen has returned to the UK album tonight (Oct 7) with 'Magic' going straight in at number 1.

Last week's chart topper 'Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace' from Foo Fighters has slipped to number 3.

At last there's a positive news story to report concerning Pete Doherty's and his music, with Babyshambles 'Shotters Nation' debuting at 5.

The other new enty of note in the album top 10 is the Bob Dylan hits collection 'Dylan' which is in at 10.

It seems Nightwish fans are happy with the band and it's new singer, as 'Dark Passion Play' has gone in at 25.

Finally 'A Beautiful Lie' from 30 Seconds To Mars has scraped into the chart at 39.

Those of interest doing weel on the singles chart include Plan Wight T's at 5, Mark Ronson at 7, Scouting For Girls at 9, Stereophonics at 12, Peter Bjorn & John Ft Bergsman at 13 and the Manics at 22.
