To celebrate 30 years since the recording of the classic live album 'Live And
Dangerous', Thin Lizzy have announced that they will be playing the full album in full and in order during their forthcoming November/December 2007 UK tour. This will be the first time since its original live recording in Hammersmith 30 years ago that the album has been performed.
Says founding Thin Lizzy guitarist, Scott Gorham, "This album meant too much, not only to us as a band, but to our fans as well, to let the 30th anniversary of its recording pass without celebrating it in some way."
Queensr˙che will no longer be joining Thin Lizzy on the forthcoming UK tour. A statement from the band reads:
"Queensr˙che is disappointed to announce the unfortunate cancellation of our upcoming tour of the United Kingdom with Thin Lizzy and other shows in Europe due to a personal emergency. We'd like to thank our loyal fans for their continued support and understanding. We are looking forward to making it up to them and are currently working on a plan to return to Europe in 2008 with a production that fans have been waiting years for!"
