It’s not just donkeys and ‘Kiss-Me-Quick’ hats that come out of Blackpool, and singer/songwriter Katlow is a fine example of this. The former ghost train ‘dead borderguard’ has left her spooky past behind to concentrate on her music. She releases her debut single ‘Gorgeous’ in July.
You can catch her live as she supports ex-Sex Pistol, Glen Matlock on July 3rd at London’s Dirty South, and then at Scotland’s Homecoming Festival on 23rd August.
Katlow has already been compared to Arctic Monkeys, however she muses this with saying, “That may just be due to the accent I sing in, but I think my writing style is very similar to theirs. I like to write about day to day life and normal situations”
