The All-American Rejects are to appear on the companion soundtrack for the next Tim Burton film.

The band, whose song ‘Gives You Hell’ was the most played song on US radio in 2009, have given new song ‘The Poison’ to ‘Almost Alice’ a companion album to the soundtrack of Burton’s new Alice in Wonderland film.

Tyson Ritter from the band has explained the inspiration behind the track as “Being a self-proclaimed Mad Hatter, this is a song about how prissy little Alice can be poison for us all. It was best for us both that she fell down that hole.”

Almost Alice will also contain music composed by long-time Burton collaborator Danny Elfman and will be released March 2.
