Director Edgar Wright has revealed the first song to be included on the soundtrack of his latest film.

The Spaced/Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz director confirmed this afternoon that Metric’s ‘Black Sheep’ has been added to the soundtrack of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.

The band have said of the news: “Last year our genre smashing director friend Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) told us he was working on a new movie called “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” starring Michael Cera and asked us if we’d be Interested in working with him and legendary Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich on some music for the film. Of course, we said YES!”

Wright also voted Metric’s ‘Help, I’m Alive’ from the critically acclaimed album, ‘Fantasies’ his favourite track of 2009 last year on his website, edgarwrighthere.com.
