Saosin have cancelled their UK joint headline tour with Aiden which was due to take place in April leaving the Seattle rockers to travel to the UK alone.

Saosin bassist Chris Sorenson claims that the timing for a tour is not right for his band explaining that:

“I wish I had some elaborate story about members losing limbs while shark diving, but the truth of the matter is, we didn't get a record released in the UK and (the response in) Europe was a lacklustre one at best. The bottom line is, it costs a lot to tour, especially overseas, and its never been more important (than) now to make sure that we are touring intelligently and not just because."

Aiden meanwhile have been quick to reassure fans that they will still be making the journey to the UK with frontman Wil Francis posting the following on the band's official site:

“I got a message from Saosin's management saying that the band has to pull off the tour for personal reasons, we hope that everyone is okay in their camp. Not to fear, Aiden is fucking coming for you! We can't wait to get back over there - we have missed you all.”

Aiden will now play the following dates as sole headliners:
APRIL
18 - Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms
19 - London, Electric Ballroom
20 - Manchester, Academy
22 - Glasgow, Garage
23 - Leeds, Cockpit
