It has been confirmed today that Jonsi has been added to the bill of Bestival.
The Icelandic singer, who is best known being frontman for Sigur Ros, will play on the Saturday night of the Isle of Wight based festival.
Festival organiser Rob da Bank has said of the addition: “'As a massive supporter of Sigur Ros and just as big a fan of Jonsi's solo album 'Go' this is going to be a very special concert. Jonsi's voice is so incredible - get in the queue for the Big Top Saturday night now!”
In addition to this, Sheffield synth pop pioneers Heaven 17 will also make an appearance at the festival.
Bestival takes place at Tobin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight from September 9 -12. Tickets are now available for the event.
