Jaff of The Futureheads will be running the London Marathon next month.

The bass player will take to the streets of the capital in support of Meningitis UK, an organisation which funds lifesaving research into the devastating disease, on April 25.

A message on Jaff’s Just Giving page states: “I'm running in support of the Meningitis UK charity. When I was at school a good friend of mine died of the terrible disease and I've remained very close to the family since then. Every penny you can sponsor me will go towards saving lives and researching meningitis. Please give what you can, I know times are tough and everyone is asking you for cash but this is a really good cause.”
