Updates are in from our beautiful correspondents on the ground at SXSW.

Wednesday is the first full day of musical fun, first to report in was Johnny Bollocks, who is based over in America so was extremely pleased to see our very own Esben and the Witch, in fact they pretty much blew him away, especially with all three members playing the drums at the same time. Also seen by Johnny are The Rumour Said Fire, Mini Mansions, The Black Angels and Queens of the Stone Age at La Zona Rosa, who played until 2am including playing tracks from Josh Homme's side project, Them Crooked Vultures, they were awesome.

Also seen by our friend Rob Bailey are the following: Anamanaguchi, Tturbo Fruits, A Place to Bury Strangers, The Megaphonic Thrift, James Vincent McMorrow, Bewitched Hands, 1-2-3s, Class Actress, Violens, Oh Land, Esben and the Witch, The Rumour Said Fire, Pepper Rabbit, Braids, Pulled Apart By Horses and Twilight Sad. As you can tell is a right mixed bag of styles. Rob mentioned that Braids were amazing, Oliver Ackermann form APTBS now has a moustache that makes him looked a bit Hitlerish and finally, Pulled Apart By Horses put on their usual excellent set at Red Eye Fly and even had a raccoon watching them.
