Pixies have hinted towards new album plans.

The US band, who split in 1993 and reunited in 2004, have hinted at new record plans after their most recent tour finishes on May 5 in Canada.

In a recent interview with Spinner, the band's drummer David Lovering revealed that album plans have been in the pipeline "for years" although "nothing's come to fruition". Lovering also commented that "We gotta plan to make something new," as he believes that the band will "wear out (their) our welcome soon enough".

The last release from the Pixies was 'Trompe Le Monde' released in 1991
