Bestival has added more bands to its burgeoning bill.

Both The La's and Friendly Fires are set to join the likes of The Cure, Bjork, PJ Harvey, Primal Scream and The Maccabees on the bill of the Isle of Wight based event.

Hot on the heels of the release of the band's critically acclaimed second album 'Pala', Friendly Fires will curate the Friday evening of the RizLab arena, which will explore the past, present and future of a mystery musical genre.

Festival organiser, Rob Da Bank has said of the addition: 'I've been following Friendly Fires since i played out their early demos on Radio 1 and am a devoted fan of all their albums! The boys have been at most of the Bestivals so far either playing live, DJing or raving and I'm delighted they're coming back with what promises to be a true one off and the kind of experience I really love seeing created at Besti. Best start queuing early!'

Bestival takes place September 8-11 at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight.

Tickets for the event are still available.
