It's December, which means no matter where you turn you will be bombarded with Christmas songs, even worse Cliff Richard Christmas songs. Thankfully our final Band of the Month of 2011 certainly don't get confused with Cliff very often, Trashcat.
The London trio released their second album earlier this year to glowing praise, including our own James Stant who mentioned that Trashcat were "pumping out anthemic tunes with driving choruses. This trio was born to punk rock" within his review.
So here it is Merry Christmas and.....welcome to our Band of the Month, Trashcat.
Bio:
Trashcat formed in 2008, and released our debut CD, "Too Much ain't Enough", later that year. With more line-up changes than a royal trooping the colour, we mostly played in London, although we have toured Europe three times to date. Slowly worked on our follow up album "Living In The City" which we released earlier this year.

Right now we are:
Darragh: Guitar/Vox
Carly: Bass/Vox

From rock, punk, reggae, blues, country, hip hop, anything with a beat.

Future Plans:
Right now we are taking a winter break from playing live; we should be back in spring time with some new songs. The plan is to write & record with a possible European tour with The Restarts next year.
Tour Dates:
Next summer: Europe.
If you were the prime minister for one day, what would you do:
Fran: Definitely press the red button.
Darragh: Go nuts like I was Fidel Castro, dissolve the monarchy before breakfast and agitate like there was no tomorrow.
Carly: Ban junk food, tax per pound over the obesity limit and make exercise compulsory
If you could go back to any time in history, where would you go and why:
Darragh: Late 70's New York. Because I'd be in Disco, Punk Rock, and Hip Hop heaven.
Fran: 1980, The Cramps Napa Mental Hospital gig, why? Watch it on you tube and see.
Carly: I would go to pre-computer/mobile phone times but not around war time! So I could see how an office would function without a computer system. I would have to call on my friends or write them letters to catch up, I would read much more, feel the excitement of buying and putting a new vinyl on! And of course all men would still open doors for us, pick us up for dates AND pay.
So there you go. Guys, some free dating tips from Carly at the end. Our thanks to Trashcat for taking the time to answer our questions and well done for being the first band to have each member answer questions too. If you are stuck for a getting presents this year, "Living In The City" will be perfect.
