It has been confirmed that Oxegen Festival will not take place next year.
Festival promoters MCD have confirmed the news in an official statement, explaining that despite the event not taking place in 2012, it will return again in 2013.
The statement explained: Oxegen like Glastonbury is taking a year off in 2012 and will be back July 2013. Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas & peaceful New Year. Keep rockin' in 2012 and we will see you in 2013.
The festival was headlined by Foo Fighters and Coldplay earlier this year and has been running since 2004.
