Rumours abound on the net tonight that Sonisphere 2012 at Knebworth has been cancelled. It is thought that poor ticket sales are to blame although we should point out that there has been no official announcement yet.
The story appeared earlier in the day following a post on the official website of headliners Queen, which read "It is with very heavy hearts and much regret that we announce the cancellation of Sonisphere Knebworth 2012". This years festival was also to feature Kiss and Faith No More alongside a host of major league rock acts.
It is thought that an official anouncement will be made tomorrow. Watch this space!
