April is here and so too is winter it seems. So once again we need something to warm us all up and here at R13 we have the perfect answer with our Band of the Month, Auction for the Promise Club.

The Cornish trio have been gaining a lot of momentum of late and getting some high praise from around the UK. We here expect them to go on to bigger and better things in the very near future.

The trio answer our questions:

Bio:
Auction for the Promise Club is a band from the fishing village of St Agnes, Cornwall. The band comprises of Zoe White Chambers (singer/guitarist/writer), her brother; Toby White Chambers (drums) and friend Perran Tremewan (guitars/keys). By luck and friendship the band has recorded at Abbey Road Studios and been listed in a Marie Claire UK Playlist alongside Florence and the Machine and I Blame Coco. Introduced on BBC 6 Music by Tom Robinson, on XFM by John Kennedy and on Absolute Radio by Sarah Champion as well as regional BBC Radio Show's across the country, the female-fronted rock band have garnered critical acclaim for their unique sound, which channels shoegaze through giant hooks and huge choruses.

2010/2011 saw Auction for the Promise Club play support slots before Paolo Nutini, Martha Wainright and Pendulum at the Eden Sessions and also Reverend and The Makers. The band has racked up performances at some of the country's most renowned venues, including Liverpool's Cavern Club, The Factory/Fac251 in Manchester, Birmingham's Gatecrasher and the ICA in London, as well as headlining a closing show at London Fashion Week, Jalouse, Mayfair.

The band have recently released a video for the track Under China which was Classic Rock Magazines 'Track of the Day' and a video for the track If from their debut One EP that was recorded at Abbey Road Studios and Cube Recordings.

The band recently played to their biggest London crowd yet at the O2 Academy Islington. The next EP is being recorded in June at Drop In Music Studio, France.

If you were the prime minister for one day, what would you do:
Votes for under 18s to get them involved and more valued/have a more valued opinion. It will encourage education about what is going on with the country.

If you could go back to any time in history, where would you go and why:
The 60's would have been pretty groovy man! It sounds like it was fun, the music and general attitude.

Our thanks to Zoe, Toby and Perran for answering the questions and keep checking the bands website to find out why one of their tracks has been taken down, we are intrigued here.

Until we all find out, we can take pleasure in their video for Under China
