The first band announcements have been made for this years Merthyr Rock Festival, a boutique festival now in it's second year. The festival boasts 3 days of indie and rock set in Cyfarthfa Park, a public, Grade II space in the heart of Merthyr and runs from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September 2012.
Bands just announced are Razorlight, Kids in Glass Houses, Deaf Havana, Saves The Day, Yashin, and Arcane Roots.
Weekend Earlybird tickets are now on sale priced at 55 pound (until noon Mon 2 July). Other ticket information including day tickets will be announced soon. Camping at Grawen Farm is 15 pound per person, for 3 nights.
