Adrenaline Mob, the metal supergroup featuring Ex-Dream Theater drummer/co-founder Mike Portnoy, highly rated guitarist Mike Orlando, Symphony-X vocalist Russell Allen, and bassist John Moyer of Disturbed, are currently touring Europe, and have a handful of UK dates planned, starting in Glasgow on 29th June. If you like your metal tight, melodic and groovy with intricate flashes, then you'd be a mug to miss out on the opportunity of seeing musicians of this calibre while you have the chance.
Omerta, the band's recently released debut full-length album, is not the technical prog-fest some might expect, but is instead a hard-hitting bruiser of an album, with melody and groove at its heart rather than uncommon time signatures and shredding (that's not to say they don't show us what they can do when the occasion arises).
