Cult punk band The Locust release compilation record Molecular Genetics From the Gold Standard Labs on July 30th. The disc features 44 tracks of hard-to-find and out-of-print material from the early years of the legendary band including all their pre-Epitaph output.
The scene veterans; founders Joseph Karam and Bobby Bray alongside current members Justin Pearson and Gabe Serbian, from San Diego have been churning out high-calibre, fast abrasive weirdness for almost twenty years and their shifting line-up has showcased a number of talents including Tristeza/Album Leaf/GoGoGo Airheart/Crimson Curse's Jimmy LaValle, to Tarantula Hawk's Dave Warshaw and Dylan Scharf, and Cattle Decapitation's David Astor.
