July is here and so too is the summer, well it is supposed to be summer. As the weather is getting hotter, we thought it was time to hot up with our Band of the Month for July, Future Ages.
The Essex quartet may have only just started life together but they have all been kicking asses in their own rights and with debut EP just having been released and comes highly recommended, they are now kicking asses as a unit.
Bio:
Window panes began to rattle as a project was started in an old dingy concrete basement by Daryl S. Tattoo and Natasha Fox. Soon after parting ways with their previous band The Sam I Am, Natasha and Daryl would write and express their many ideas and create whaling, riffage and explosions.
Something felt missing, realisation kicked in, the two of them craved for a full live band to create an even bigger sound.
Out of nowhere as if by fate Jon Pearce, formally of punk rock 3-piece Reuben searched out Natasha after driving his car listening to his girlfriends iPod on random and hearing a track featuring Natasha on vocals. Forces we're joined and then the search began to find a drummer.
There were many auditions of every type of drummer imaginable, combing through the rhythm sections of Essex and beyond, Samuel Thompson was found. A young and talented man with plenty of excitement and enthusiasm.
The 4 of them explored the unknown; Daryl's intricate and abrasive wall of guitar sounds and vessel of songs, Natasha's searing voice, haunting heartfelt words and melodies, Jon's heavy rock throw yourself around the room bass lines, and the dynamically driven new comer Samuel Thompson on drums.

Continuing to write and record, we are a new act so more gigging and hopefully a tour soon to help promote ourselves. We are also planning to create a stage musical based on the Alien Movies.

If you were the prime minister for one day, what would you do:
Make littering illegal.
Allow more funding for the arts.
Insist every day of the week be an Orange Wednesday.

Make a new national holiday - Dance to Prince day.

I would like to back to the 70's rock scene with the band and really live the rock and roll lifestyle! Also I would like to travel to the medieval times with a load of black pepper corns as they were as valuable as diamonds back then....be queen Fox or something..
Daryl:
NYC in the 50s to be involved with the jazz scene down 52nd St, then live through into the prog years of the 70s in Britain. Or Ancient Rome, such a grand, magnificent part of history. Though that is a hard question to answer. Also anytime based in the Amazon with the indigenous tribes; I find anthropology a very interesting subject.
Jon:
I would Go back and find out if the Turin shroud is legit.
Samuel:
I would like to of been born 10 years earlier so the band understand what I go on about half the time!
