Brooklyn's We Are Augustines were stopped by police on their way to their BBC Introducing show in Oxford's O2 Academy venue this afternoon becasue their van was spewing smoke!
Luckily there were no injuries but the van, band and all of their gear had to be abandoned at the side of the road.
The show is till to go ahead tonight as planned, singer Billy McCarthy said:
"One minute we were having a great time on the way to the venue, and then the cops pulled us over and said: "Your bloody van is smoking!" It was indeed, it was actually on fire! So we had to ditch the van and wait for transport out here on the road side, but we are all fine. Luckily none of the gear was torched and looking forward to playing our first show in Oxford."
