The ongoing saga with Killing Joke continues with the release of a further statement from the band and the re-emergence of singer Jaz Coleman in Western Sahara!

First there was a statement (reportedly put out by Coleman) saying that KJ would not be playing their scheduled dates with The Cult and The Mission. Derogatory remarks about those bands were also made in that statement. This prompted the rest of the band to respond with their own statement stating that were embarrassed by Colemans statement and that he had now gone AWOL and had not contacted any of the other band members.

In the latest twist the band have issued a full statement through their Facebook page to clear up some issues, whilst Coleman has turned up in Western Sahara, seemingly bemused by all the fuss, stating that he was living a nomadic existence and working on a new solo album and book. He also claimed that he did not write the original derogatory statement.

Of most interest to fans will be what happens to those that had bought tickets and flights specifically to see the band and on that front they can hopefully take some solace from this part of the official statement:

Part of what makes this band what it is is the chaos that surrounds us all and we are unpredictable at best. If you understand our band you will also understand that the recent comings and goings are just another day in the Chaos Office. That said people parting with hard earned and not getting to see us is shitty and like I say we will make amends.

What happens next is anyone's guess, watch this space...
