The Hard Rock Hell team have teamed up with PROG Magazine to launch a dedicated prog rock festival to take place at the Magna Science Adventure in Rotherham on April 6th and 7th 2013.
Jonni Davis CEO of Chic Festivals (the company behind all the HRH events) filled us in:
"We have always felt that the UK market was missing a dedicated PROG festival and as huge fans of the genre we wanted to put on something that honoured the world of PROG both old and new and that draws from all corners of it and that not only embraces the old but also that celebrates the new. We also felt it needed a special location to house this style of event and the Magna Science Adventure, being a renovated Steel foundry with all its different interactive zones, we felt it to be the perfect setting to stage this new experience."
Bands confirmed so far include Hawkwind, Caravan, The Enid, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Mostly Autumn, Enochian Theory, Aeon Zen, Order of Voices and Antlered Man. Tickets are on sale now click here.
