Those that have previously listened to Louise Distras tracks will know that she sings on important issues with a real passion will not be surprised to hear that she has teamed up with Canadian solo artist, Jenny Woo, to release a split single to raise awareness for the very worthwhile S.O.P.H.I.E campaign.
Stand Strong Together will be released 4th February through iTunes, Amazon and physical copies via www.louisedistras.co.uk followed by Louise Distras taking the message on the road via a major European and UK tour to promote unity in the modern underground music scene and tackle prejudice, hatred and intolerance head-on.
Louise tells us "Imagine the greatest concerts you have ever been to, the ones that really matter, and the ones you'll never forget - they consist of a rich mixture of subcultures standing together. The 'Stand Strong Campaign' is a campaign to bring all subcultures together under the message that "Unity is strength. Violent attacks against people from alternative backgrounds are becoming more common and are going unreported, if we don't confront these divides and attacks in our society things will continue to get worse. The Stand Strong Campaign is about valuing the freedom to express ourselves and our ideas. It's about working together to achieve a safe, bullying and harassment free world. Whether you're a Punk, skinhead, Mod, rocker, Goth, or Casual - there is more that unites us than divides us!"
Support on the 'Stand Strong Together' Tour comes from UK folk-punk protest singer Wayne Lost Soul, who says "Now more than ever, we must stand strong together to face the real problems in our lives rather than attacking each other because of our differences!"
