Opeth's highly anticipated new album Pale Communion has unfortunately had it's release date delayed. Instead of a mid-June release the band have revealed a new date of 25th August.

Commenting on the delay, Opeth's main man Mikael Akerfeldt explained, "Many of you have heard the rumours already and we can now confirm that the release of 'Pale Communion' has indeed been pushed back to late August. Several circumstances prevented us from delivering essential tools to Roadrunner in time which are needed to set up the album release properly, and release schedule conflicts made us mutually decide on August instead of June."

Lead single, Cusp Of Eternity will still be made available prior to the album release and can be pre-ordered from 3rd June.
